Automatic document feeder speeds your work. The 20-page document feeder lets you automatically copy, scan or fax multiple pages — hands-free. Simply load the sheets in the feeder, press a button and machine will complete the job unattended.

Fast and versatile printing and copying, up to 28 pages per minute. The J4580 prints and copies up to 28 pages per minute (ppm) in black, and up to 22 ppm in color. It also prints photos — as fast as 26 seconds for 4" x 6" print. You can reduce or magnify your photocopies, from as small as 25% up to 400% of original size.

Built-in scanner for great looking images and graphics. The J4580 scans at up to 1200 x 2400 hardware resolution, with up to 48-bit color depth, letting you producing colorful, detailed images. Plus, the flatbed design lets you scan or copy pages from bound books or other 3-D objects, in sizes up to 8.5" x 11.7".

Fast faxing, as fast as 3 seconds per page. A fast 33.6Kbps modem sends faxes as fast as 3 spp (seconds per page). Other fax features include PC fax sending automatic redial (which keeps trying when the receiving line is busy), up to 90 speed-dial numbers, and delay send (which allows you to transmit later the same day). A 100-page memory stores incoming faxes when paper or ink runs out, so you won't miss important faxes.

Handles up to legal-size paper for versatility. The 100-sheet input tray holds paper sizes up to legal (8.5" x 14") or as small as 3" x 5".
